What attracted me to Middlebury was the strong language programs. Back in New York City, I came in touch with the Deaf community on my journey to learn American Sign Language (ASL). Coming to Middlebury has made me realize the lack of awareness and emphasis on ASL and the potential Middlebury has to make a difference in changing this. As an active member of the ASL Club, (but not the President, instead they placed me as ASL Club Project Leader, which is totally a fake title)  I have taken part in ASL events, interpreting shows and attending conferences. But yeah, let me get a real title and get yourselves some more ASL by voting for me for Sophomore Senator.
